I’ve had my eye on this goregous maxi for weeks now. The vintage patch print, the wavy crochet lace down the front, the incredible vintage vibe—it’s a clear stunner! The fabric has some stretch, though not a ton, but reviewers still say to stick with your usual size. Now all you need is an invite to a Slim Aarons-worthy soirée!
Here’s a basic packing list to keep things smooth:Cell reception can get patchy, especially in and around Capitol Reef and Canyonlands. Don’t count on having service when you need directions or updates on the go.
Download offline maps ahead of time using Google Maps or Maps.me. This is particularly non-negotiable if you’re planning longer hikes or venturing into less-visited areas. Also, don’t underestimate how remote some stretches can feel. Gas stations between parks are few and far between. Make it a rule to refuel when your tank hits half, especially before heading into Capitol Reef or crossing Scenic Byway 12.If you’re doing a full loop through Utah’s Mighty 5, here’s a 7-day itinerary that hits all five parks without rushing.
Remember that this 7-day loop is perfect if you want to cover all five parks in one go, but it’s definitely a fast-paced plan. It won’t leave much time for long hikes or slow mornings. Expect early starts, long drives on a few days, and limited flexibility around entry reservations. It is ideal for first-time Utah visitors who want a snapshot of Utah’s National Parks or those who want to see more and do less. When my train arrived at
's King Street Station on a sunny morning, I didn't expect the 1-mile walk to my downtown hotel to feel like a hike.
I didn't think I'd find a chewing-gum-speckled wall in an alley later that afternoon. And when I felt my stomach growl while strolling the bustling streets the next day, the last thing I thought I'd see was a free snack cart.We tried the Chili Cheese Corn Dog recently, and though it’s technically covered with a crunchy layer of corn chips rather than saltine crackers, it’s still kind of fun to reflect specifically on Walt Disney’s love for chili and crackers when enjoying this food. You can see more about
Another favorite of Walt’s was pie, specifically lemon chiffon pie with a graham cracker crust. A particularly creative item honoring this is thethat you’ll find at the stand near Star Tours! This is a cream cheese-filled pretzel dipped in lemon-flavored icing, topped with crushed vanilla wafer.
You’ll find another great reference to Disneyland’s history in the two 70th anniversary items at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante! These are inspired by the Casa de Fritos restaurant, which was once located where Rancho del Zocalo is now. This restaurant opened in 1955 as part of a partnership between Disney and Frito-Lay and has a super interesting history-! The restaurant had an interactive vending machine featuring the company’s mascot, the Frito Kid, who would come alive and speak when guests bought a bag of chips (you can read more in the article above).
